We run seasonal programs during the spring, summer and fall. We are currently looking for seasonal staff to work with the urban and suburban youth of the Greater Metropolitan Baltimore & Philadelphia regions. Pay for all seasonal positions is based upon a credit system and position. We pay all seasonal staff at a per diem rate and provide room and board.

INSTRUCTORS
Lead Instructors are accountable and responsible for expedition groups, staff supervision and development. This seasonal position is expected
to provide quality programming as well as to understand and abide by the Outward Bound philosophy, methodologies and curriculum.
Qualifications: Experience working with urban youth; at least 2 years experience and willingness to work in the outdoors for multiple days;
able to demonstrate competencies in a vast range of outdoor skills and challenge course activities; able to manage groups in a variety of
settings; current certification as a WFR (Wilderness First Responder) or higher; WSTAR (Wilderness Safety Training & Aquatic Rescue) or
lifeguard preferred.
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS
To assist Lead Instructors in the development and implementation of expeditions using the Outward Bound mission and philosophies. This seasonal
position is expected to support other programmatic needs when necessary.
Qualifications: Experience working with youth; experience and willing to work in the outdoors for extended periods of time; current certification
in CPR and first aid or higher; WFR (Wilderness First Responder) preferred.
CENTER-BASED / INSIGHT INSTRUCTORS
Insight Instructors are responsible for assisting the Program Manager in designing and implementing the Urban Centers' curriculum for a variety
of participants. This seasonal position facilitates our day programming which includes ground initiatives as well as our action learning course
(low & high ropes elements).
Qualifications: Experience working with youth involving a leadership development based program; knowledge of high ropes, low ropes and use of
initiatives; current certification in CPR and first aid or higher; WFR (Wilderness First Responder) or WAFA (Wilderness Advanced First Aid)
preferred.
